Getting Involved

Love Wycombe

On Pentecost Sunday 27 May 2012 an estimated 3000 people from 45 local churches gathered to worship with one voice at a celebration called Love Wycombe.  The celebration included hymns, songs, games, dancing, prayers and information about community projects run by the churches.  Over £5000 was collected for local charities, Wycombe Homeless Connection and Lighthouse.

Celebrating the wonderful work that God is doing across our town, the Encounter Trust would like to invite churches from High Wycombe to move their Sunday morning services to the town centre pedestrian zone, Frogmoor, at Pentecost, which is on Sunday, 19 May 2013.  Meeting and talking with ministers after Love Wycombe 2012, it was clear that prayer should be central to Love Wycombe 2013.  In reponse to this, we have set up a Love Wycombe Prayer Space in the town centre during Holy Week, Sunday, March 24 to Saturday, March 30 2013.
