Why are we here?
We are here to tell people about Jesus, to help them to get to know him and then to help them let him change their lives. The more lives that are changed, the greater impact that this should have on our local community, as Jesus told us to love our neighbours. These aims motivate all that we do, although we do try to have some fun whilst doing it.
Mission Statement
In line with most organisations, we have a mission statement which spells this out; unlike many organisations, ours quotes the Bible verses on which it is based:

Matthew 28:18-20; Ephesians 4:1-16
We want to serve and be a central part of the community of Loudwater. We try to get involved with community activities as well as offering a welcome to the community at church events.
Our most visible involvement in village life is through the work of Chris Hawkes, who has worked on community projects for the church since 2001. Chris devotes boundless energy, along with others from both within and outside the church, to things ranging from the production of the In-Touch magazine to help with organisation of the recent Village Design Statement Questionnaire (VDSQ). He also master-minds the annual Carols in the Park event which so many enjoy each year.
Chris and a few from St Peter's serve alongside other committed residents from the village and representatives from Wycombe District Council on the Loudwater Residents Action Forum (LRAF). When the LRAF was formed in 2002, a survey showed that only 7% of residents thought that there was any community spirit in Loudwater. The VDSQ in 2005 showed a remarkable change to 53% recognising a clear village community spirit 31/2 years later.
Reach a Street
Reach a Street is an initiative started a few years ago in Fassetts Road to reach out to the local community and to show the relevance of Christianity today.
As Jesus met us where we were, we want to meet local people where they are and to show them God's love for them.
New helpers are welcome at any time: come to 99 Fassetts Road in Loudwater at 10 am each Saturday morning and see for yourselves how God is at work in the area. You can then decide whether being a part of Reach-a-Street is for you.
For more information contact Colin or Linda Ramsey or Chris Hawkes.
