Friendship and Feeding
The following groups meet with a main purpose of allowing people to form close relationships in small groups more easily than they can within a large congregation. Some of the groups have a largely social content and others are more overtly spiritual. All should encourage development of a first time, or deeper, relationship with Jesus at a pace with which group members are comfortable.
Cell groups - mid-week meetings
Groups of between 6 and 18 people who meet on a regular weekly basis, usually in peoples' homes, to follow up the teaching programme from Sundays. Time is available to discuss things in more depth and to encourage one another to apply the teaching in their daily lives. Meetings take place on various weekday evenings, mornings or afternoons to suit the circumstances of the group. Cell members become the first line of support for each other and for this reason, all members of St Peter's are encouraged to join a cell.
Contact: Patrick Finlay or Nigel Peach or Contact Us for more information or to be put in touch with a cell near you.
Unlike the holiday company of a similar name, this group has a reputation for attracting some very nice young people. The group follows a similar programme to the cell groups above but with a slant for the 18 to 30 age group.

Connections - ladies' Wednesday morning groups
20 or more ladies (mainly in the twenty something to forty something age range, but there are age no limits) meet in the Old Vicarage Lounge at 9.30am most Wednesday mornings and after a time of worship (singing with CD backing, Bible reading and prayer) break into smaller groups for discussion, chat and coffee on a "cell" basis. Meetings generally finish around 12.00-12.30pm, with some going on for lunch afterwards.
Parking can be a challenge!

Youth Cells - Sunday evenings
A young person's slant on cell groups, aimed at 14 to 18 year olds. The groups follow a similar format to general cell groups, but also cover topics more relevant to youth. Youth cells meet most Sunday evenings in the Old Vicarage from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

Senior Citizens - Bible Studies, Tea Parties and more
Tuesday afternoons provide a range of activities for older people, many of whom we collect and return home after the event. Do let us know if you would like a lift to one of these events. First and third Tuesdays are usually Bible studies, with video film afternoons and tea parties with a speaker on the remaining Tuesdays. Meetings start at 3.00pm and usually finish by 4.30pm.
